Legal basis
From 2026, the federal government will set energy-saving targets for electricity suppliers, which are to be achieved through the implementation of various measures among end users in Switzerland.
Why EcoGastro
EcoGastro has been active in the commercial kitchen appliances sector for several years with a tried-and-tested efficiency programme. By systematically replacing inefficient appliances, particularly in cooking and dishwashing technology, we achieve substantial eligible electricity savings and can make these available to electricity suppliers in tranches ranging from several hundred MWh up to several GWh.
Typical questions
What is the workload for the electricity supplier?
There is absolutely no effort required on your part. The BFE will automatically credit the savings to your account, as we handle the entire process.
Are there any additional services available to an electricity supplier’s customers?
We offer our Energy Check service to energy suppliers’ customers eligible for subsidies, or as a bespoke campaign for energy suppliers. Find out more at EcoGastro EnergyCheck
Is it possible to get in touch with the subsidised business?
Upon request, we prioritise the provision of measures to the electricity supplier within its supply area. We also offer the option of making contact, provided the subsidised business does not object.

We would like to inform you about the measures and services we offer to our partner electricity supply companies. We would be happy to guarantee that all these measures will be implemented in your supply area.
Conclusion of the contract
We have a tried-and-tested standard contract that guarantees the desired savings within the desired timeframe. We are also happy to accommodate the energy supplier’s requests.
Implementation & Delivery
The measures will be implemented and registered with the SFOE by us on your behalf. You will receive a monthly implementation report and a copy of the submission via PrivaSphere.
The right tools for you
Funding Portal
Retail and manufacturing businesses submit their claims digitally. Catering businesses redeem the vouchers they have received online and are paid the subsidy directly. Energy suppliers submit their applications directly via the portal.
